Applications
renewable energy integration
The BESS stores excess energy generated during periods of high production, such as midday sun, and then discharges it when renewable output is low or demand is high, effectively smoothing out fluctuations and ensuring a consistent, reliable power supply.
backup power
The batteries receive electricity from the power grid or from a renewable energy source like solar panels or another energy source, and subsequently store it as current to then release it when it is needed. To operate as a backup, it can release the energy as the main source during a grid outage and no solar energy generation (Night-time)
balancing supply & demand
During peak demand periods, BESS can discharge stored energy to satisfy grid demand, reducing strain on overstressed grid elements and offsetting high-cost peak demand charges.
